Description

The We Are Islanders Ida Dress is cut from fine woven organic bamboo silk that has been hand painted. The double spaghetti silk straps are trimmed in a luxurious sunshine yellow salmon suede for an elegant finish which creates and day to evening versatility for this piece.

The use of analogue painting and print methods in this piece are informed by the idea of fluidity, inspired by a constant movement and a challenge of the static. This technique results in completely unique markings creating one-of-a-kind garments that tell their own story. The printing technique we use to to create these fabrics result in completely unique markings. While the fabric and shape remains consistent, the image shown should be taken as a guide to the piece as markings and colour tones will vary.
