What's so special about The Retreat ?
You'll be part of an exclusive group with access to some of the world's greatest designers, venues and Irish culture.

What does a typical day look like ?
Every day is different. It always commences with a delicious breakfast and then off to visit an amazing at their private studios, taking in some culture along the way and followed by a gourmet dinner that night.

How long is The Retreat ?
The Retreat lasts for a minimum of three days.

Who is my Host ?
Your Host, Dublin born Grania Murray, now living between Los Angeles and Dublin, is an internationally recognized interior designer. For almost twenty years, Grania has sourced exclusive and unique elements from around the world to design one-of-a-kind environments.

What happens when I arrive ?
Your driver will pick you up directly from the airport and drop you to your hotel. After check-in you'll experience a Spa treatment of your choice and then relax with room service to prepare for the start of The Retreat the following day.

Where will we stay ?
You'll stay in a private room in some of the finest five-star hotels that Ireland has to offer.

How do we get around ?
Your personal driver will take you to and from the airport. During The Retreat we will travel by our own Mercedes coach to every venue.

What food is included ?
Breakfast of your choice every day. Lunch on day trips and an exquisite dinner with wine almost every evening.

Where will I eat?
You will experience the best of Irish fine dining which includes an emphasis on organic farm to table cuisine.

What parts of Ireland will i see ?
The Retreat's location is always changing so you'll see loads of the country.

What designers will I meet ?
Some of our previous Retreats have taken us to the studio of Lainey Keogh, the design rooms of Louise Kennedy, the forge of Calnan & Anhoj and the worktable of Mette O'Connor. The experience varies with each visit. Prepare to be amazed!

What essentials will I need ?
A great camera. Clothes you can layer. A great sense of humor and the desire to be swept into a world of luxury adventure.

Do I get a spa treatment ?
Yes, you do! Usually on your arrival day to help you to recover from jet lag.

What type of cultural activities should I expect ?
Anything from the famous Art Tea at The Merrion Hotel to a visit to an acclaimed walled garden or a play at one of Dublin's theaters. The itinerary always changes and the possibilities are endless.

How good is the shopping ?
First of all, it's up to 17% tax free! You'll also have the opportunity to buy directly from the creatives in their studios and even commission your own pieces to be delivered when you return home. Shopping in Grafton Street is legendary. Your own personal style consultation is a bonus!

What happens at my personal styling consultation ?
Whatever your needs or your personal style, Brown Thomas's dedicated personal shoppers will have the fashion knowledge, style expertise and, in particular, the time to find you the perfect solution. There will also be champagne as your makeup is applied.

What is the weather like ?
In Ireland it's anyone's guess...prepare for everything. You may even experience four seasons in one day. It's never very cold. It doesn't rain as much as people think. It rarely snows.

Special pricing for groups?
Absolutely. We provide discounted rates to those traveling together. Our group always caps at twelve people and it enhances the whole experience.
